September 28th is the anniversary of the death of Louis Pasteur, the French chemist and microbiologist, who developed the first rabies vaccine. Each year World Rabies Day is an opportunity to promote rabies control, encourage dog vaccination and raise awareness.
It’s never too early to start planning World Rabies Day activities. Led by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC), the suggested theme for WRD 2022 is ‘Rabies: One Health, Zero Deaths’.
