United Against Rabies Forum 2022 Review

Produced by: United Against Rabies Forum

Description

The United Against Rabies Forum 2022 Review provides an overview of key achievements made during 2022, the annual meeting, and next steps for 2023.

In 2023 the United Against Rabies Forum will transition to a more efficient and sustainable mode of operation, prioritising activities that directly contribute to the following objectives:

  1. Engage rabies-endemic countries and support development and implementation of National Strategic Plans
  2. Engage local authorities and communities to prioritise rabies elimination at the local level
  3. Engage with academic and industry partners to support country and regional implementation of rabies strategies
  4. Promote improved surveillance, data sharing, and data reporting
  5. Support advocacy and resource mobilisation, including promoting access to human post exposure prophylaxis (PEP)

We encourage organisations to join the UAR Forum, and collectively work together to progress towards Zero by 30. We also encourage stakeholders to contribute to UAR Forum activities. The UAR Forum Activity Proposal form can be downloaded from the link below, and stakeholders can complete this and submit to the Steering Group if they wish to propose specific activities that the Forum should progress.
